The molecular weight structure of the slump retention polycarboxylate superplasticizer is designed to introduce a slow-release functional group (i.e. ester group) on the main chain to effectively control the adsorption rate of the polymer molecules on the cement particles. Redesigned polycarboxylate superplasticizer can greatly extend the processability of concrete, and can even extend for 3 hours as the project needed. In a particularly hot environment, it minimizes slump adjustments at the worksite while maintaining the same air content as the concrete is poured and agitated.
When the slump retention polycarboxylate superplasticizer is used to maintain the concrete slump, the dosage is generally 15%-35% of the total effective solid content of the admixture, and the specific dosage is determined according to the construction requirements. It can be combined with other types of polycarboxylate superplasticizer, retarder, defoamer, air-entraining agent, and other additives to make the concrete more convenient and work better. The dosage should be optimized by trial by using actual building materials to satisfy the project needs.
